I just graduated from University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg in December 2016 with a major in applied Mathematics. I'm from Pittsburgh and have been living here since I was 14.
Tutoring has been there for me since I was a freshman in college, during my tenure as an Accounting major. I volunteered to be a tutor for my accounting class and that was when my journey started. I landed my first job as a Math tutor for my school at Learning Resource Center for Pitt-Greensburg. Then, I expanded my experience by dealing with High school kids from all ages while I was a tutor for Neighborhood Learning Alliance. Then, the fall of 2015, I became a tutor for Wyzant and I worked there until I joined Varsity Tutors.

What is your teaching philosophy?
The strategy that I always implement is being as friendly as possible to the student and making up arbitrary rewards if they get a question correct. This encourages them since they think of me as a friend instead of a teacher.
