Hi potential student and parents!

My name is Yoni. I am a physician in training, living in New York City. I was born and grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I lived in both Israel and Denmark growing up. I went to the University of Pennsylvania for college, where I majored in history and completed the pre-med curriculum. I graduated from Penn cum laude and went on to medical school at Tufts University in Boston. I went on to complete my internship and residency in internal medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. I continue to live in New York and am now completing a fellowship (speciality training) in gastroenterology on Long Island.

I have extensive experience tutoring for the SAT and ACT but I also tutor high school and college math, science and history courses. My teaching style focuses on clear and thorough didactic teaching to ensure that you, the student, understand the concept and then follow that up with many practice problems to ensure mastery of the topic. I believe that only through practice will you master the skills needed to succeed and excel in your school work or on the standardized test you are preparing for.

I have worked very hard throughout my (very long) education and training, but I have also enjoyed learning at every stop along the way. I will work hard to help you achieve your academic goals but I will also try to make sure that learning is fun.
