Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of University of Maryland, with a BS in math and a BA in Spanish. Since high school I have been passionate about tutoring. I have tutored first graders and college students, one-on-one or in groups ranging from two to twenty students, from basic fractions to multivariable calculus, and in English and in Spanish. Through all this range of tutoring experiences I am still enthusiastic about helping people learn. My degrees taught me to love math and Spanish, and I also enjoy teaching English and editing writing. My tutoring philosophy is to personalize my lessons and focus on guiding the student through the material by asking questions, listening, and re-framing concepts to match the student’s learning style. In my free time I love to read, knit and crotchet, and paint.
