I am passionate about learning new languages and helping others do the same. I'm a native English and Mandarin Chinese speaker, and have worked in Shanghai for about 5 years before moving back to San Francisco recently. I've tutored mainly middle/high-school students in Chinese or ESL in the home or at summer camps, but I would also love to work with adults or much younger children. It's never too early to start!

I hold a bachelor of science in economics and bachelor or arts in comparative area studies from Duke University, with a minor in Chinese.

I also studied pastry arts at The French Culinary Institute, so In my leisure time, I enjoy baking for friends and family, along with traveling, food photography, and hiking.
