I earned my undergraduate degrees in History and English in 2000 from the University of Memphis and my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Ole Miss in 2005. I have been teaching since 2001. I currently teach 6th grade social studies and science in Desoto County. I enjoy the individual time that I get with students and seeing them reach their academic goals. I like to help spark a skill or feed curiosity for whatever the student finds interesting to earn.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Once a student masters the basics of reading and writing, other skills and information are only limited by the imagination that chooses to seek them.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I will, hopefully, have some information about the student's goals both for the session that day and long term. We should spend a few minutes verifying those goals and then get to work on them.
