Certified Tutor

I am a professionally certified teacher in Florida. I spent 3 years teaching high school math in Jacksonville, Florida. I taught geometry to 9th through 12th graders. I worked with approximately 150 students each year. I have experience preparing students for standardized exams. I was able to get my students to surpass the distract pass rate on the state geometry exam each year that I taught. I have a lot of experience working with students in small and large groups and at the individual level. I understand the importance of meeting students where they are and working with them based on an individualized plan to get them where they need to be. I have worked with students of all levels and have been able to help them get to the same place. In my final year of teaching Florida switched to the Sunshine State Standards, so I have worked with the new curriculum as well. I am currently a full time MBA student at the University of Florida. I miss working with students every day and believe that tutoring will give me the opportunity to use my skills to help students excel in their classes.
