Tony: Ypsilanti charter Township tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a graduate from Virginia Tech and Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida. I hold an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and a Doctorate of Chiropractic. The main subjects I teach are Anatomy & Physiology and Nutrition. I have a passion for these subjects and I teach these concepts on a daily basis to patients along with talks and lectures to the community. My teaching style and philosophy is simple. Figure out what kind of learner you are and teach to those strengths. Make it a fun, enjoyable time. Learning should be something you want to do. Make it applicable and find the connection of the material to the student. I have a passion for health, wellness, and fitness and I practice those things on a daily basis. I’m an easy going, laid back person, but I will be honest and straightforward, setting high expectations for my students.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Find their passion and motivation. Figure out what kind of learner they are.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Teach him the skills necessary to become IC. They need to know how to teach themselves first before they can become independent.
