What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is that not every student learns in the same way, and that the key to success is adapting my teaching style to the specific needs of every student.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
During a first session, I like to get an idea of the student’s personality, learning style, and strengths and weaknesses with regards to both content and test-taking strategies. Usually, this involves going over a diagnostic test with the student.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I help students become independent learners by getting an idea of their learning style, and developing personalized lesson plans to help them take what they learn in my sessions into their personal everyday studies as well.
