Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of the University of Florida. I have a Bachelors of Science in Statistics and a minor in Business. I have always had a great fondness for math in particular. Not just learning its intricacies and apply it but teaching it as well. It was in high school that I realized I had a particular knack for helping others understand things about math that they previously had always had trouble figuring out. I began tutoring friends and then friends of friends and family during college before working in a more professional capacity as far as tutoring mathematics goes.
Over my years of helping students understand math, I have learned what strategies work best in achieving that. No matter what the subject is as far as math goes, I make sure that the student knows the how and why of every step of the problem. Math much of the time builds upon itself, so not only is it critical to their current success but also their success when it comes to future math concepts.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, television, computer games, bike riding, and music. I have learned guitar and am currently working on teaching myself how to play the keyboard.
