Certified Tutor
I received my BA from Johns Hopkins University and my PhD from the University of Washington. Both of my degrees are in Public Health. I enjoy mentoring and teaching students of all ages. I have mentored K-8, high school, and beyond. In addition, I have taught graduate level classes at the University of Washington. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I really enjoy tutoring math and science. I am a mentor for a girls' after school STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) program, and I am a mentor for a high school science outreach program. As a tutor, I provide students with the tools and information they need to do their work as independently as possible. In addition, I aim to set very clear, attainable goals early on to build confidence and measure progress. In my spare time, I love traveling and outdoor adventures, including hiking, skiing, and kayaking. I like to balance traveling and adventure with good reads that include classics and popular fiction, like the Hunger Games.
