Certified Tutor

After moving to Washington from the UK, I graduated in English at Western Washington University, with focuses on Medieval and modernist literature, composition studies, and linguistics. After graduating, I completed a CELTA certificate in ESL teaching, and worked as a one-to-one ESL instructor in Paris for three years, teaching students of every age and level (as well as improving my French, while still speak on a daily basis among my family). While I am passionate about literature, I receive the most personal satisfaction as a tutor by helping students to develop their critical thinking and self-expression through writing. In my spare time, I read fiction and graphic novels, and work as an illustrator.
