Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Wichita State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. While finishing my degree, I worked for the Wichita Public School system where I became certified as an AVID tutor helping students study various subjects, primarily tutoring math. Although I have tutored most high school subjects, my passion lies with tutoring algebra and geometry. They are the foundation for learning many other fields of math and have many applications in life. In my opinion, having a good understanding of these subjects helps students live happier and more fulfilling lives. I like to use a very Socratic method while teaching and tutoring because I feel it helps the student learn more than just the subject but also helps them understand how to learn. Along with enjoying helping students learn math and science, I enjoy playing tennis, reading (both fiction and non-fiction), watching sci-fi shows on Netflix, and many other activities which increase my understanding of the universe.
