The student can see the expiration of integral calculus by finding L/R/M/TRAM for regular and irregular intervals. We reviewed the teacher's notes and sample problems on linear equations, and also evaluated practice problems containing inequalities in one variable. We also solved equations containing absolute value equations. We covered the way linear equations should be graphed, as well as used formulas to find the slope of a line.

This was my first meeting with the student. We read through and completed a first round edit on her college entry essay. We discussed the concept she is covering and the requirements of the entry essay, and then we made a list of changes she should consider. We also edited for grammar and punctuation (generally very strong). We will meet again on Saturday to complete the final edits.

Went over the student's test that he had the previous week. We then went over the material he covered since the exam: basic trig functions. I helped him memorize the additive trig functions and how to apply these functions.

The student and I worked mostly on how to algebraically solve inequalities. She was, for the most part, very comfortable with these problems. She was, however, confused about when to switch the signs of the inequalities while doing the problem (e.g. when to change the < to > . After some practice, she seemed to become more familiar with when to change the sign. By the time I left, I felt that she had the concept down.
