Hi! I am a recent graduate from Rutgers University with a major in Health Administration, and am now a current Physician Assistant student at Temple University! I am skilled in tutoring kids K-12 for more than four years now through working at my local tutoring center, private tutoring, and working with many students through Varsity Tutors. I'm comfortable teaching elementary school math, middle school math, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, precalculus, and calculus AB! I enjoy teaching all these subjects, but I enjoy teaching middle school and early high school math the most! I believe this is because I was also struggling with math when I was in that age range the most. These past struggles help me relate better with what these kids are likely struggling with as well. Being able to understand where students' struggles in math lie plays a huge role in forming a solid understanding in the subject. From being a tutor for so long, I have learned what really matters to me when it comes to helping students. To me, working with students is more than just about teaching. It's about making them feel more confident in the material and themselves, and even maybe enjoy the subject they're struggling with! I think it's really important to influence kids to have their own personal goals when it comes to school, and I feel like we forget that sometimes! Even though I love tutoring, I have other interests such as reading mystery novels, watching Netflix, listening to music, and taking long walks outside!
Undergraduate Degree: Rutgers University-New Brunswick - Current Undergrad Student, Health Services Administration
I enjoy activities that make me feel calm and less stressed such as baking, going on long walks, practicing my calligraphy, and reading mystery novels. But, I also enjoy other fun things such as going hiking with friends, seeing the sunrise on the beach, and making spontaneous plans!
