About Me

Hi! I'm Beth, and I'm so happy to meet you! I have over 22 years of experience teaching English. I have a BA in English and an M.Ed. with an emphasis on Reading. One thing that makes me successful is that I recognize the essential truth of any classroom, whether online or in-person: students must feel comfortable and safe being themselves in order to learn. I am committed to preserving an accepting classroom environment that is constructive and safe. My strength is in working with people for whom the subject of English is a challenge and in building relationships with my students that allow them to be vulnerable enough to take risks.
