I am an avid reader. I read everything, but love crime thrillers, international espionage novels, and corporate piracy. I also love to create graphic art. I use countless apps to manipulate photos for myself and friends. I have a dog and a cat that I love and that I'm constantly documenting their life on social media.

I am a certified bilingual veteran educator looking to support and champion learning and personal growth in students that need and desire it.

I am strongly committed to bringing students to mastery. To accomplish this, I thought it was important that I am trained and educated extensively in this field. This is why I have obtained not only a Bachelor's degree in education, but I have obtained a Master's degree as well. Even with the most thorough training, mastering academics cannot be achieved without creating a welcoming space for learning friends.

I'm Alyssa! I graduated from Texas Christian University in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology (with Honors and a 4.0 GPA!). I am a current Doctorate of Physical Therapy student at Texas Woman's University, continuing my education in Kinesiology and related subjects.

I am a responsive and talented educator offering tutoring to middle school, high school, and undergraduate students in the Humanities. I am a certified teacher with nearly 15 years of classroom teaching and tutoring experience and a Master's in Secondary Education. My favorite subjects to tutor are World History, U.S. History, Reading, Writing, Literature, and Spanish I. I always make learning relevant to my students' lives and approach each lesson as a shared learning experience for us both.
