The student and I focused on reviewing the first three chapters in his latest grammar book. During this time, we reviewed sentences and sentences fragments, nouns, subjects and predicates, verbs, and diagramming. Afterwards, we covered the past and future perfect tenses. I began our lesson by discussing with him my goals for today's lesson as always but also my goals for the week and where I see us moving forward. I believe this helps the student to get a sense of what is expected of him.
