I am a former industrial chemist experienced mainly in organic synthesis and analysis of organic compounds. I am a Master's level graduate in the biological sciences with an infectious enthusiasm for math, physics, biology, and chemistry. While I was in graduate school, I taught laboratory courses and tutored students outside of class. I've kept numerous emails from students who thanked me for giving them novel ways to study, one even raising her grade from a D to an A- over the course of the semester!

I am passionate about teaching Japanese, and would love to help you meet your language goals! I help students by listening to their aims, setting their goals, motivating students depending on their levels and introducing current and interesting topics in addition to their textbooks. I often assist students outside of lessons by e-mail, and love to teach via Skype to help busy people learn Japanese.
