I graduated Harvard in May 2012. I received an A.B. in History--my studies were all over the place geographically and temporally, but I did the most work in medieval Europe and the Near East. Since graduation, I've lived in the Bay Area, Philadelphia, and now in Boston. I've tutored at every stop, principally in standardized test prep. I also tutored my fellow history undergrads at Harvard, and juvenile offenders in Boston, so I've seen a fairly wide range of students. I can and do tutor a very broad range of subjects, but I'm happiest tutoring history, the GRE, and the SAT--the first because I've loved it since I could read, and the latter two because I think they are highly solvable and I want to make sure students get a chance to learn how to solve them. I'm a firm believer in tutoring in the style of a conversation. Obviously I'm imparting knowledge, but I don't want to lecture and I don't want to be boring, so I try to make it as natural as possible--which does mean I make my fair share of jokes. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, from which I received my Masters in Biomedical Engineering. I received my Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, from BITS Pilani, India. I paid for my Masters by working as a Teaching Assistant, Grader and tutor. I have also volunteered to teach kids who were in poverty and help adults who were slow learners. I have always had a passion for teaching Math, Physics, Yoga, 2d and 3D graphics editing software and all aspects of programming software. I am a firm believer in the philosophy, "If the learner has not learned, then the teacher has not taught."

I received my PhD and Masters from Ohio State University and my Bachelors from Michigan State University all in mathematics. I have worked as a professor for 14 years teaching across the standard undergraduate mathematics curriculum. I also completed 140 hours of NICU training.One of my favorite parts of being a nurse has been the opportunity to precept, mentor and prepare new nurses and nursing students for this awesome profession. My interest in the sciences became insatiable in high school as I tackled my first Anatomy and Physiology class, and led me to further my education in courses such as Advanced Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Microbiology, Biology, and Health Science.After being accepted to nursing school I focused on Pharmacology, Ethical Nursing, Medical Surgical Concepts, Critical Care Concepts, Pathophysiology and more. I have extensive knowledge of NCLEX preparation and remember fondly the days spent studying in perpetuity to do well on the exam.I think two of the most important parts of learning are foundational knowledge and confidence in yourself. Often times they go hand in hand and I like to build on both of those skills as we master any content :)
