My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief of being student focused and every single student has the ability to succeed when they are met with encouragement, individualized support, and high expectations. With a bachelor's and master's degree in Social Work and over 15 years of experience in college admissions, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them identify their strengths, overcome obstacles, and achieve their educational goals both short and long term.

I absolutely love birdwatching, camping, hiking, reading thrillers and being outside. When working in education, it is nice to get outside and be one with nature and breathe in the fresh air. My favorite is camping along a water source like a river or shallow stream so much to learn about nature.
