Hello! I'm Clarissa, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a Master of Social Work from Morgan State University and currently pursuing a PhD in Social Work with a focus on social work education. I work as both a clinical therapist and public sector social worker while actively conducting and publishing social work research. I enjoy helping students build confidence by connecting classroom concepts to generalist and clinical practice. Outside of work, I enjoy conducting social work research, mentoring students, reading about mental health and higher education, and continuing to learn through professional development. I also value spending quality time with my family, staying active, reading, journaling, poetry, and giving back to my community.
