About Me
Hello! I'm Clarissa, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a Master of Social Work from Morgan State University and currently pursuing a PhD in Social Work with a focus on social work education. I work as both a clinical therapist and public sector social worker while actively conducting and publishing social work research. I enjoy helping students build confidence by connecting classroom concepts to generalist and clinical practice. Whether you need support with Human Behavior in the Social Environment (HBSE), social work practice, policy, research methods, ethics, assessment, treatment planning, field education, or ASWB exam preparation, I strive to create a supportive, engaging learning environment tailored to your individual learning style. My goal is to both help you succeed academically and to strengthen your critical thinking and confidence as a future social worker.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy conducting social work research, mentoring students, reading about mental health and higher education, and continuing to learn through professional development. I also value spending quality time with my family, staying active, reading, journaling, poetry, and giving back to my community.
