My teaching philosophy is grounded in the Humanist approach, making the student the owner of their learning, and the teacher or tutor as a guide. I will help you focus on one of the 4 domains of communicative competence (listening, reading, speaking, writing) of your choice, if learning a language is your goal. I use the research from Macalister & Nation's (2020) book "Language Curriculum Design" to further use a principles-based approach to teaching and learning when designing lessons for you. You will walk away from lessons feeling encouraged, empowered, and confident in your new abilities. I am so excited to meet you and help you achieve your goals!
