I enjoy helping students build confidence in both subjects, especially when the material feels frustrating or overwhelming at first. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and practical. I like to break problems down into smaller steps, use examples that make sense to the student, and help them understand the process instead of just memorizing an answer. In math, I focus on helping students build number sense, problem-solving skills, and confidence. In science, I enjoy helping students understand vocabulary, concepts, and real-world connections so the material feels less confusing. I also believe students learn best when they feel respected and supported. I try to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and trying again. My goal is to help students feel more confident, build stronger academic habits, and leave each session understanding more than they did before. I would be excited to support your student in math, science, or both.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy baseball, cooking, fitness, reading, and spending time with my son. I have coached youth baseball, which has helped me learn how to encourage kids, build confidence, and teach skills in a patient way. I enjoy working with students and helping them see that growth takes practice, whether it is in school, sports, or life.
