About Me

Most call me Jay, but everyone knows I love helping people see their potential. A few words to describe myself are patience, understanding, and resilience. These simple words explain who I am as a person and who I want my students to represent as individuals. I have spent the past seven years teaching, with a focus on Special Education. I care deeply about helping students with diverse needs and work hard to ensure every student feels included and able to succeed. Outside of school, I spend my free time working with young people in my community. I enjoy mentoring and encouraging them, and these experiences have helped me grow as a leader and shown me how important it is to have good role models. My family means everything to me. I am a husband and father to a son and a daughter, and they inspire me to set a good example every day. I also have a dog, who has taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and friendship. In my work, in my community, and at home, I try to make a difference by being caring, dedicated, and helpful to others.
