About Me

The traditional path has never taken me where I needed to go, so as a writer and educator, I've learned to move forward without a mapguided by vision, not permission. I focus on where I'm going, not what's expected. When no clear model exists, I create one. "Advanced literacies" means having the freedom to think, decide, and act on your own terms. We all have the ability to build our own frameworks and write narratives that make full use of our strengths while pushing us to grow. This belief drives my work. It's how I challenge my students to rise, take ownership of their path, and reach the finish line with purpose.
