About Me

Hi, I'm Dominick, you can call me Dom. I've been an educator in New York City for nine years working with both elementary and middle school students in general education and special education settings. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education and have experience helping students grow in math, reading, writing, organization, study skills, and overall confidence. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and personalized. I know every student learns differently, so I focus on finding the approach that works best for them rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all method. I break difficult concepts into manageable steps, build strong foundations, and help students feel comfortable asking questions. I especially enjoy working with students who may feel frustrated, overwhelmed, or behind. I take pride in helping students realize they are capable of success with the right guidance and strategies. My goal as a tutor is not only to improve grades and test performance, but also to help students become more independent, confident learners. I work hard to make sessions productive, encouraging, and engaging so students can make real progress while feeling supported along the way.
