About Me

I have an M.A. in Composition and Rhetoric and a TESOL certificate from Florida State University, and 20+ years teaching college English, including English as a Second Language and English language test preparation. My expertise includes English Composition subjects such as the writing and revision process, the rhetorical situation, expository and personal essays, literary analysis, and primary and secondary research, as well as in-text citation and documentation (APA Style, 7th edition). My teaching philosophy stems from a growth mindset in which all learners have the capacity to develop their skills in reading and writing through reflection, feedback, and practice.
