About Me

With a strong foundation in early childhood and elementary education, instruction is rooted in building confident, capable learners who feel supported every step of the way. Experience across Pre-K through elementary classrooms, combined with a master's degree in education and licensure in birth through kindergarten, has developed a deep understanding of how students learn best, especially in foundational reading and math. Tutoring sessions are intentionally designed to meet each student's individual needs through engaging, hands-on, and data-driven instruction. Strong emphasis is placed on foundational literacy skills using research-based practices aligned with the Science of Reading, including phonics, fluency, and comprehension. In math, instruction focuses on conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and building confidence through interactive and real-world connections. Beyond academics, creating a positive and encouraging learning environment is a priority. Students are supported in taking risks, asking questions, and developing independence as learners. We consistently monitor progress and communicate it to ensure growth and success over time. With experience leading small groups, developing targeted interventions, and supporting diverse learners, including students with IEPs, I bring structured yet flexible tutoring to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
