About Me
My academic foundation includes a bachelor's degree in psychology from Yale University, a juris doctor from Harvard Law School, and a master's in clinical mental health counseling from Adler University. This multidisciplinary training allows me to support students not only in mastering subject matter, but also in developing confidence, critical thinking skills, and effective learning strategies. Throughout my career, I have taught, mentored, and advised learners across diverse settings. As an adjunct professor and continuing education presenter, I developed and delivered engaging, accessible instruction on complex topics. More recently, as a senior career advisor and mental health counselor, I have worked one-on-one with students and clients to identify their strengths, overcome challenges, and build clear, achievable plans for success. I have extensive experience helping individuals improve writing, prepare for interviews, strengthen organizational skills, and navigate academic and career journeys. My approach to tutoring is student-centered, supportive, and individualized. I take the time to understand each learner's goals, learning style, and any barriers they may be experiencing. Drawing on my counseling background, I create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building skills, and growing in confidence. I am particularly skilled at breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and helping students develop practical strategies they can use independently.
