About Me

I am a registered nurse with experience in behavioral health, emergency care, and post-anesthesia care, and I am currently earning my Master of Science in Nursing with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner focus. Throughout my nursing career, I have learned how important patience, encouragement, and clear communication are when someone is trying to learn something new. Those same values are what I bring to tutoring. I truly enjoy helping students feel more confident. I know how frustrating it can be when a subject feels confusing or overwhelming, especially when you are trying your best. My goal is to create a supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. I like to break down difficult concepts into simple steps and use real-life examples whenever possible so the material feels more practical and easier to understand. What I love most about teaching is seeing the moment when something finally clicks for a student. It is rewarding to help someone move from feeling unsure to feeling capable and confident. I believe tutoring is not only about improving grades, but also about building confidence, study skills, and a stronger belief in what a student can do. I am excited about the opportunity to work with Varsity Tutors because it allows me to combine my healthcare background, my passion for helping others, and my love of learning in a meaningful way.
