Throughout my career as an educator, I have been driven by a deep commitment to fostering meaningful learning experiences and supporting students in realizing their academic and personal potential. My journey in education has spanned diverse settings, from traditional classrooms to innovative, technology-integrated environments, and has continually reinforced my belief in education's transformative power. My professional path began with a foundational education in Social Studies at Ball State University, where I developed a strong grounding in historical analysis, critical thinking, and inclusive pedagogy. Early in my teaching career, I was challenged to adapt my instructional methods to meet the needs of diverse learners, an experience that shaped my approach to curriculum development and student support. For example, while teaching at Burris Laboratory School, I collaborated with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects that connected historical events to contemporary issues, encouraging students to see themselves as active participants in their own learning. Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching a wide range of courses, including Advanced Placement United States History, World History, Civics, and specialized seminars on topics such as human rights and social justice. At Ransom Everglades School, I implemented project-based assessments and provided detailed, constructive feedback to help students develop their analytical skills and confidence. One particularly rewarding moment was guiding a group of students through a collaborative research project on civil rights, where I witnessed firsthand the impact of timely feedback and open communication on their academic growth. These experiences have honed my ability to facilitate engaging discussions, respond thoughtfully to student inquiries, and support learners with varying backgrounds and abilities. As Lead Humanities Guide at the Academy of Thought and Industry, I embraced the challenge of creating a virtual classroom environment that was both intellectually stimulating and welcoming to all students.
