My academic training has provided me with a strong foundation in core biological sciences, including cell biology, molecular biology, physiology, and biochemistry, as well as hands-on experience with scientific analysis, critical thinking, and evidence-based problem solving. Throughout my graduate studies, I developed a deep appreciation for the learning process and the importance of clear scientific communication. Advanced coursework and research experiences required me not only to understand complex biological concepts, but also to explain them effectively, whether through presentations, written reports, or collaborative discussions. These experiences strengthened my ability to break down challenging material into accessible, logical steps, a skill that is essential for effective tutoring. As a biology tutor, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student's needs and learning style. I believe that confidence and curiosity are just as important as content mastery, and I strive to help students build both. By connecting theoretical concepts to real-world applications and current research, I help students see biology as a dynamic and relevant field rather than a collection of facts to memorize. My long-term goal of pursuing a career in research has further motivated me to tutor, as teaching reinforces my own understanding while allowing me to support others in their academic growth. In terms of interests and hobbies, I spend my free time reading, playing sports (tennis, soccer, and basketball), and relaxing with friends and family!
