My name is Rafael Ladmer-Price, and I aim to be a friendly, patient, and adaptable tutor with experience teaching English, reading, math, science, and web development to students of many ages and skill levels. Through my work as a classroom teacher and long-term substitute with Jefferson County Public Schools, I learned how to break down complex ideas into clear, approachable lessons while supporting students with different learning styles. I have a strong academic background in mathematics, including algebra through calculus, and in the sciences, supported by a Bachelor of Arts and years of tutoring experience that began as early as middle school when I was teaching my little sister with dyslexia how to overcome her learning disability and find the joy of reading. Alongside my teaching background, I am a frontend developer who builds real-world projects using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which allows me to teach web development in a hands-on and practical way.

In my free time, I enjoy a mix of creative, social, and outdoor hobbies that keep me curious and balanced. I am an avid tabletop rpg gamer, always ready to jump into a collaborative storytelling process with others. When I manage to get outside, I enjoy hiking and kayaking to see as much of the natural world as I can. I enjoy reading science fiction, fantasy novels, and graphic novels although as I get older I find the occasional nonfiction book working its way into my reading list. At home you can often find me cooking for friends and family, drawing, playing music, or picking up the occasional crafting project. Recently, I have been exploring indie game development, only time will tell where that may leave.
