I have taught middle-school, high-school, and college-level Computer Science and Business classes. I have tutored elementary, middle-school, and high-school students in math and algebra. My teaching philosophy centers around creating a supportive learning environment that empowers students to become confident problem solvers. The biggest thing I focus on is learning about my student. Every student has different needs and ways that they learn, and once I figure that out, the student will be more successful. I have helped several students with ADD, ADHD, anxiety, and high-functioning autism over the years. One of the best things about teaching is when you see a student have that a-ha moment and know that they finally understand and that all their hard work has paid off.

I enjoy reading and exploring new technology. I have 2 teenage children that keep me busy with their various activities.
