As an award-winning communications professional with more than 19 years of experience in journalism, public relations, and strategic communication, I am passionate about helping students become confident, persuasive, and ethical communicators. I hold a master's degree in Communication from Johns Hopkins University and a doctorate in Organizational Leadership, and I currently teach university-level courses in digital media, leadership, communication, and ethics. My career has spanned roles as an Emmy-winning news anchor/reporter, Director of Communications, executive coach, and consultantexperiences that allow me to bring real-world insight to every tutoring session. I specialize in Journalism, Essay Writing, Ethics, Public Relations, and Marketing, and I love helping students strengthen their writing, sharpen their critical thinking, and develop a clear, authentic voice. My teaching approach is warm, structured, and student-centered. I meet learners where they are, break down complex concepts into practical steps, and provide encouragement that builds both skill and confidence. Whether a student needs support crafting a compelling essay, understanding ethical frameworks, mastering AP or college-level writing, or exploring careers in communication, I am committed to helping them succeed.
