About Me

As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's degree in History from Millsaps College, I have over 20 years of experience in tutoring a diverse range of subjects, including Adult Literacy, high school and college level History, and Creative Writing. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages students to explore their interests and develop their skills at their own pace. I believe that every student has unique strengths, and I strive to tailor my approach to meet their individual needs. My experience in both tutoring and classroom settings has equipped me with the tools to help students achieve their academic goals. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, and exploring new writing techniques, which continually enrich my teaching practice.
