Christine

With a strong foundation in education and experience teaching English and German at the high school level, and tutoring at Sylvan Learning Centers at many levels, I am passionate about helping students succeed academically and gain confidence in their language skills. My approach to tutoring focuses on each student's individual learning style and needs, whether you need support in reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, or advanced topics for college-level English. I am a US citizen, but until the age of 17, I lived in Austria and Germany, so I am fluent in German. Let's work together to unlock your potential in English and German and achieve your academic goals!

Outside of my professional life, I’m passionate about cooking, getting lost in great books, and spending time outdoors. Whether experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, enjoying the peace and perspective that comes from reading, or exploring parks and trails, I believe these experiences add depth and joy to my daily life. Cooking allows me to express creativity and share memorable moments with family and friends. Reading feeds my curiosity and love of learning, while time outdoors refreshes my mind and brings balance. These hobbies help me stay inspired, grounded, and ready to take on new challenges with enthusiasm.
