As a dedicated educator with a Master's degree in Special Education from East Carolina University, I have over 5 years of classroom experience and 1-2 years of tutoring experience, specializing in elementary school English and reading. I have taught students with diverse needs, including those with reading disabilities and visual impairments, using tailored approaches such as the Orton-Gillingham method to enhance their learning. My passion for teaching is matched by my creative pursuits as an artist and author, which I incorporate into my lessons to inspire and connect with my students.

I am very interested in art, painting, photography, writing, thrift-store shopping for treasures and bargains, website building and maintenance, marketing, the Bible, reading, traveling, walking, and getting together with family and friends. Also, I collect old bottles, stamps, and teacups and teapots.
