- For the past 7 years, I have been working with students of all backgrounds to improve learning outcomes and foster test taking confidence.
About Me
I recently graduated with my PhD in Marine Science from the University of California Santa Barbara where I studied the population dynamics and ecology of biodiverse kelp forest ecosystems. I received my BA in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology from Harvard University. I have a strong passion for the sciences and engaging students in critical thinking about our world. I have extensive experience tutoring students in SAT prep, biology, calculus, algebra, and more at Collegebound Tutoring Services in Santa Barbara, and I am eager to continue to share my insights and strategies so that students can make their academic goals a reality. I am also an experienced college science teacher, having taught laboratory classes at UCSB in invertebrate zoology, biometry (biostatistics), and introductory biology. As a tutor, I am patient, methodical, and invested in the aspirations of all my students, and I work collaboratively with my tutees to tailor an individualized plan for success. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking dishes from around the world and spending time in nature, whether by hiking, kayaking, sailing, or biking.
