As a passionate tutor specializing in conversational Japanese, I strive to empower students to communicate naturally and confidently. Currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Japanese Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I have experience as a teaching assistant for a second-year Japanese class, where I implemented interactive exercises and relatable pop culture references, like anime, to engage students. My year living in Tokyo enriched my understanding of everyday Japanese, allowing me to teach practical language skills relevant to real-life situations. I believe in tailoring lessons to each student's interests, fostering a supportive environment that encourages active participation.
