I was a full-time teacher (30 years) , teaching all levels of French (I am fluent in French) and English and Language Arts, specializing in Shakespeare. I have extensive tutoring experience, providing assistance to high school students in English, Language Arts, writing, reading, public speaking, SAT prep, PSAT prep, college admissions essays, and Advanced Placement exam prep (English, French). I have experience at the middle school/intermediate school level as well, having begun my teaching career at a middle school in the Chicago area. I look forward to working with students of any ability!

I'm originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, and earned a B.A. in Mass Communication and an M.A. in Education at Stanford University. I also lived and studied in Paris, having completed post-graduate work at the University of Paris (La Sorbonne). I have traveled extensively in Europe, and have led more than a dozen school groups on educational trips throughout Western Europe. But now I live in Southwest Utah and love living in the desert Southwest. I enjoy mountain biking, hiking (Utah has 5 national parks!), kayaking, camping, road trips, and photography (my husband is a professional landscape photographer). And I love traveling and exploring new places!
