I have a passion for the environment and Earth Sciences that I can't wait to share with you! I have also tutored extensively throughout high school and college. There is nothing so satisfying as helping a student perfect an essay or project into something they're proud to submit. While I am most passionate about Earth sciences/geology and English/writing, I am knowledgeable about and comfortable tutoring many subjects. I believe strongly in a liberal arts education. Being a well-rounded student allows for a deeper understanding and engagement with subject materials. For this reason, I work hard to connect my lessons to other topics or real world ideas that my students already understand and care about. I think that tailoring instruction to meet a student where they are is key to helping them grow academically. I hope to encourage natural curiosity and a love of learning in all my students. In my spare time, I love to hike, bake, read, dance, and spend time with my family.
