Hello! As an educator with several years of classroom experience and a Master of Education degree in progress, I bring both expertise and heart to every learning session. My teaching philosophy centers around creating a supportive, engaging, and personalized environment where each student feels seen, valued, and capable of success. I specialize in early literacy, foundational math, and supporting diverse learners including English language learners and students with unique learning needs. My instructional approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and aligned with the Science of Reading and developmentally appropriate strategies. I believe that learning should be joyful, culturally responsive, and meaningful and I aim to meet each learner right where they are, nurturing their individual strengths while guiding them toward their goals. Outside of the classroom, I love spending quality time with my family and exploring new places together. I enjoy reading inspirational books, crafting, and finding creative ways to bring learning to life through hands-on activities. My faith is an important part of who I am, and it guides me in showing kindness, patience, and encouragement to others. I also enjoy decorating my classroom to make it a welcoming, engaging space where students feel at home. Whether I'm planning a fun lesson or enjoying a nature walk with my daughter, I always look for joy in the little moments!
