About Me

As a dedicated educator with a Master's degree in Science Education from East Carolina University, I have over 31 years of classroom experience and tutoring, currently teaching high school science. My passion lies particularly in Chemistry and Physical Science, where I strive to engage students through hands-on learning and interactive methodologies, such as Cornell notes and lab activities. I believe in meeting students where they are and guiding them to their academic goals, ensuring that all curriculum standards are met. My experience as a National Board-certified teacher has equipped me with the skills to support a diverse range of learners, from those with special needs to advanced placement students. Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring new scientific topics, such as astronomy, which I look forward to introducing to my students. I am excited about the opportunity to help students succeed in their scientific endeavors.
