As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Appalachian State University, I have decades of experience in tutoring and classroom teaching, primarily focusing on physics and the physical sciences. My approach to tutoring is centered around building trusting relationships with students, which fosters an environment where they feel safe to ask questions and engage in intellectual risk-taking. I utilize strategies like multiple intelligences and graphic organizers to tailor my lessons to individual needs, ensuring that each student can grasp complex concepts at their own pace. My goal is to make physics accessible and enjoyable, transforming the common perception of the subject into a positive experience. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my family. I'm also an avid fitness enthusiast, a kayak fisherman, and I work at a local hardware store where I stay active and engaged in my community.
