Tutoring gives me the chance to help students not only excel academically, but also experience the clarity, confidence, and curiosity that come from truly understanding a subject. Whether we're working through calculus, chemistry, or physics, (or something else) my goal is for students to walk away feeling empowered ready to earn top grades and think critically in any classroom. I'm currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago, with a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Texas A&M University. My background spans both research and teaching, including authoring peer-reviewed papers in materials science and chemical ecology, as well as mentoring peers and younger students in STEM fields. I tutor a wide range of subjects across math, chemistry, and physicsat levels from foundational to advanced. I especially enjoy tutoring physics and chemistry because they help students connect abstract concepts to the real world, sparking the kind of "aha" moments that last. My tutoring style is grounded in building strong conceptual understanding first, then reinforcing it with practice problems and open-ended thinking. I aim to create a learning space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and ultimately developing both mastery and confidence. When I'm not tutoring or doing research, you'll probably find me outside: running, biking, swimming, or lifting weights. I feel most like myself when I'm in nature and around the people I care about. Lately, I've also been working on becoming a better piano player (slowly but surely!).
