About Me

Hi! I'm Alex, a Computer and Systems Engineering student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), graduating in June 2026. I tutor algebra, pre-algebra, and general math, and I enjoy helping students break down challenging topics into clear, understandable steps. As a varsity tutor, I've worked with students of varying skill levels and adapt my teaching style to fit each learner. I focus on strengthening fundamentals, improving problem-solving skills, and building confidence so students can succeed both in and out of the classroom. My engineering background supports a logical, structured approach to math, while my patient teaching style helps students feel comfortable asking questions. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy running, hiking, solving puzzles, playing piano, and listening to music. I bring the same focus, creativity, and persistence from these interests into my tutoring sessions. I look forward to helping students grow more confident and successful in math!
