About Me

I have worked as an Algebra I/Geometry teacher, a middle school math interventionist, and am currently teaching at a community college. I graduated from Texas Tech University in 2022 with dual Bachelor's degrees in mathematics and music, Summa Cum Laude. When I teach math, I see the subject as similar to learning an instrument: math is a skill, not just a matter of memorizing formulas. If a student is struggling with a complex concept, then we must go back and review foundations. By doing so, we can intuitively understand the 'why' of a mathematical process rather than regurgitating steps. My goal is to help students view mathematics as a language of reasoning and problem solving.
