About Me

Hello! I am Dr. Jill Lawrence and I work as a scientist conducting research in the fields of neuro-immunology & HIV virology. I have a B.S. in neuroscience and a PhD in cell & molecular biology & genetics. I have a passion for science education and making science accessible to people of all backgrounds and experiences. I've worked as a science tutor for over 6 years, working with students ranging from high school through advanced graduate & medical school programs. I also have college and graduate-level biomedical science teaching experience. Whether science is your weak subject and you need help actually understanding the basics, or you are well on your way towards a science career and need assistance with advanced topics, I'm here to help! I live in Philadelphia with my fiance and our dog & cat - the latter of which frequently makes appearances during tutoring sessions.
