About Me

With over 33 years of teaching experience, I have dedicated my career to teaching students from kindergarten through high school. I hold a Master's degree in Reading Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Missouri State University. My journey began as a Reading Specialist, where I honed my skills in reading strategies, which remain integral to my tutoring approach today. Currently, I focus on one-on-one and small group tutoring, primarily for elementary students, allowing me to develop personalized lessons that resonate with their unique experiences. My philosophy centers on fostering a genuine excitement for learning, ensuring that my students not only grasp concepts but also develop the tools they need to pursue their passions in the future. Being the first in my family to attend college drives my commitment to equipping students with effective learning strategies and instilling a lifelong love for education.
